In Butte, Montana, the Butte Emergency Food Bank volunteers are gearing up to host their most significant food drive of the year. This 36th annual Thompson Family Food Drive is set to take place this Saturday. Hundreds of dedicated volunteers will be going door to door, collecting both food and cash donations starting at 10 a.m. The goal this year is an impressive 100,000 pounds of food and $80,000. Remarkably, Butte schools have already made a significant contribution by donating 20,000 pounds of food. This drive is of utmost importance as it helps fill the shelves and ensures the community gets through the winter. The cash collected will be used to make bulk food purchases from the Montana Food Bank Network.

And if you have free time, come down tomorrow at noon and assist in organizing the donations."
