During this Thanksgiving season, our efforts are on the cusp of reaching a remarkable milestone - sending 5,000 meals. Your support plays a crucial role in not only providing essential journalism but also ensuring that those facing hunger receive the nourishment they need. Volunteer Linda Cooper, as seen in the photos, is dedicated to collecting foodstuffs for clients at the Feeding Champlain Valley food shelf. The staff there is constantly busy, giving out turkeys and other holiday fixings. It's open for groceries from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the week. Bill Dennison, another volunteer, is seen unloading donated foodstuffs, showing the continuous flow of support. Volunteer Sharon Fosbrook also plays a vital role in stocking foodstuffs for clients.

Feeding Families and Fueling Truth

Supporting the Thanksgiving drive is of utmost importance as we strive to reach our goal of providing 5,000 meals to the Vermont Foodbank. This not only helps those in need but also funds local journalism, ensuring that the stories of our community are told. The latest stories, such as the Vermont Conversation about Elizabeth Price and her son Hisham Awartani, and the appointment of four new Vermont superior court judges, highlight the diverse aspects of our community. These stories, along with our work in providing meals, contribute to the fabric of our society. Our journey to send 5,000 meals is a collective effort. Every volunteer, every donation, and every act of support brings us closer to our goal. It's not just about the number of meals but about the impact it has on the lives of those facing hunger. We are committed to making a difference and ensuring that no one goes without a proper meal during this holiday season and beyond. The Feeding Champlain Valley food shelf is a vital part of our community, providing a lifeline to those in need. With the help of volunteers like Linda, Bill, and Sharon, and the support of our community, we are making significant progress in our mission. We hope to continue this work and expand our reach, making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
