The city of Storm Lake has recently appointed Tyler Gibbins as its new Finance Director. Since joining the city administration in January 2013, he has held various positions such as accounts payable and staff accountant. Gibbins’ journey with the city began long before his promotion. A lifelong resident of Storm Lake, he graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2009. Following this, he pursued higher education at Briar Cliff University, earning degrees in Business and Finance, as well as Accounting. Professionally, his commitment extends beyond his day-to-day responsibilities; he is actively involved in community organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and the Storm Lake RAGBRAI committee.
